Q1. How long have you been doing what you do and how did you become a wedding planner?

A: Your Wedding Expert has been open for business for 5 years, but I have been working with weddings since 2008.

I have always been fascinated with weddings and the intricate details that make up this romantic day. As a university student studying towards a Town and Regional Planning degree, you were more likely to find me on the internet, searching for wedding sites such as 'The Knot' than you were to find me in my degree related aisle at the library. Soon after graduating, in 2008, I could no longer ignore this yearning to be involved in weddings, and I started planning and decorating weddings part-time, while I worked full time as a Town Planner. Needless to say, it was a natural progression for me to take the leap and turn this passion into a full time profession.


Q2: We love your Services and Portfolio, everything looks fantastic, can you tell us what sets you apart from other wedding planners?

A: The value I add to the couples I work with is not based on simply getting their weddings planned, but comes from years of experience, vast knowledge of the wedding industry, creativity and from the use of the best tools and unique planning style that have proven to result in an effortless, stress-free yet effective experience for my clients.


Q3: How much do your services cost?

Q4: Who would benefit best from your services?

We work best with couples who would love a professionally planned, designed and styled wedding. Couples who understand the value of working with a team of reputable suppliers to bring their vision of a beautiful wedding to life.

We also offer a great Day of Wedding Coordination services for couples who have successfully planned their own wedding, without enlisting the help of a professional wedding planner, but need an experienced coordinator to ensure that all their plans get implemented. Allowing them, their family and guests to fully enjoy the wedding day without worrying about everything coming together as planned.


Q5: Would we lose control of the wedding if you were to plan it for me?

A: My job as a wedding planner is to help you achieve a beautiful and well planned wedding, without compromising the details that are unique and important to you as a couple or your vision for your wedding. You, as a couple, are the primary decision makers from the start to finish of the wedding planning process.


Q6: Would you work with suppliers we have already selected, or people we want to work  with?

A: It is not uncommon for couples to bring me on board with one or two suppliers already booked. Although I do recommend a team of reputable suppliers that I have seen in action and trust their quality of work, I do work with client preferred suppliers.


Q7: Do you take more than one wedding a day?

Although we have a team of capable, well trained wedding day coordinators, we only take one wedding a day to ensure that that our clients get the full benefit of our services.
